NAHA Centennial Banquet

  • MacNamara Alumni Center, University of Minnesota 200 SE Oak Street MINNEAPOLIS, MN United States (map)

Step back in time to 1925. Picture Cedar Avenue in Minneapolis, affectionately dubbed “Snoose Boulevard”—a bustling hub of vibrant shops, cafes, vaudeville theaters, and speakeasies—where Scandinavian immigrants forged new lives. Imagine the excitement and revelry as Norwegian America celebrated 100 years of migration to the United States, an occasion that resulted in the founding of the Norwegian American Historical Association.

Journey with us as we mark a new centennial, peel back the layers of history, and share stories of historical transformation and change—all through the lens of the legendary Snoose Boulevard neighborhood and others like it across North America. Join us as we remember this rich history and look to a new century.
